Do it! You won't regret it. Great Hotel.

This was the perfect location for our first visit to Florence. Great location a stone's throw from Ponte Vecchio, 20 mins walk from train station and right in the heart of everything to see in the city centre. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious and the staff very friendly. I had 2 lovely sweets on my pillow each day on return and the room was beautiful. There was a selection of different pillows to choose from to suit your liking and the bed linen was very cosy. My wife and I would recommend to anyone!

If I had to pick anything, the bed was a bit firm for my liking but my wife liked it and the shower was very small but had good water pressure. Really couldn't think of another thing.

A great hotel, in a strategic location, on the Arno river, next to the Vecchio bridge, meters from the Uffizi Gallery, the Fountain of Neptune, Piazza Duomo, etc...Always kind and smiling staff, both at reception and at breakfast, and the hall for breakfast is impressive with its painted ceiling, varied and delicious breakfast. We were accommodated in a spacious and very stylish wooden ceiling apartment in the Orafi Tower, with a comfortable bed and cozy duvets. I highly recommend the hotel, I would come back again. Thank you for everything Hotel degli Orafi!!!

Incredibly beautiful hotel with amazing staff

Beautiful Building 1 block from Ponte Vecchio, central area with many shops and restaurants, in building from 13th century ( or so) with modern design and amenities, gorgeous Linens, comfortable beds with 3 pillow choices, delicious breakfast included with room price, great staff

Boutique hotel in the best location!

Upon checking in I was upgraded to a suite in the tower area which was very contemporary and new. Very different to my previous room with generous modern oversized spaces. Once again everything clean and tidy and staff friendly and helpful. The admin help with organising taxi and other information at need. I’d love to stay again. Oh, and the location is exceptional.

The best location in a historic hotel in the heart of Florence!

From the moment I arrived the reception staff made me feel welcome and were very helpful and understanding. I was shown to my room and how to utilise everything. The rooftop bar and staff are amazing with lovely views, great drinks and food too! The breakfast was elegant in the great fresco dining room and the staff made sure all needs were met. The range of choices and coffee…great!! The little nooks on each floor in the old historical building are delightful and comfortable with an abundance of reading material. The location was fabulous as next door to the gallery and river and all sights. Could not ask for more. When I returned for another night the staff remembered me and this was such a pleasant surprise. I’d definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Good and bad. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Location is wonderful. Very clean. Great breakfast in the morning. Nice rooftop bar.

Beds are rock hard, lighting is confusing, blow dryer wouldn’t turn on. Lots of light buttons but nothing seemed to turn the lights on or off. Shower was very slippery.

Perfect location for city exploration

We chose the hotel for its location and close proximity to all sights: Duomo, Santa Maria Croce, Palazzo Pitti, Uffizi, etc. are right at your doorstep - brilliant! Due to the location, in front of the Arno and a small road which runs parallel to the Arno, there can be noise coming from passing cars or tourists walking along the river (even late at night - normal city noise?). Also, be mindful of the church bell ringing every hour; we used earplugs. When making the reservation, why not request a high floor? We had a basic classic room on the fourth floor with great views over the Uffizi and Duomo. One side of the breakfast room on the first floor faces the Arno (there are only two tables with a view): the buffet offfers a good choice of fruit, yoghurts, juices, pastries, etc. but the cooked items are not always hot. The breakfast staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout our three day stay! The bar on the top floor is fantastic and offers views over the Arno from the small outside space (16 Euros for a cocktail). There is a small lounge with books on the second floor and another small lounge on the ground floor: both areas are very comfortable and quiet. Room prices were reduced drastically nearer the time of our arrival; worth keeping in mind!

We did not like the city noise (cars, church bells and building work) but when travelling to a city that is to be expected. Bringing earplugs worked for us. Despite the noise, we would stay here again.

A first rate four star hotel in a superb location with features some five star hotels might envy.

Given the fact that the hotel has perhaps the best location in Florence, it would probably be popular even if it weren't good, but, in fact, it is very good indeed! Very comfortable rooms with high quality linens, luxurious bathrooms with marble everywhere, a friendly, helpful staff, and a breakfast room decorated with historic frescoes, are all part of the experience. Perhaps best of all is the elegantly modern design of the rooftop bar, which features a stunning view of the Duomo-- in fact the same view featured in the film, "A Room with a View," famously shot in the hotel.

I liked everything! However, it should be remembered that this is a top end 4 Star hotel, not a 5 star palace. That means that even though the historical architectural features of the hotel are sensitively displayed, and some areas-- like the breakfast room-- are spectacular-- one shouldn't expect period antiques throughout the hotel. In general, public rooms are equipped with standard commercial hotel furniture. (I can imagine an upgrade in the future in which the elegant style of the rooftop bar begins to pervade the overall hotel). Rooms are certainly attractive and luxurious, but they lack individuality. Breakfast is excellent, but fresh juice comes with an extra charge.

Everything. Perfect location. Excellent customer service. Rooms were comfortable. Beds and linens were top quality. Breakfast was amazingly good. My kids said it has the croissants they’ve had in Italy. The staff are not only professional but they are nice, friendly and kind. Franco, from the breakfast lounge was the best. He was kind and very attentive.
